News Roundup!

We’re going to ’round up’ a few items of importance in the store, before we go into more detail about each one in the coming days:

-first, a reminder that we are CLOSED on Monday, September 6, for Labour Day.

-second, a reminder that starting on Monday, September 13, we are starting our new Monday hours…we’re going to be open until 10 p.m. This gives us another night of gaming, starting with our in-store World of Darkness campaign that we’re moving from Friday nights to Mondays.  However, it’s ‘anything goes’ as far as gaming is concerned (but stay-tuned for a Board Game League, coming a little later in the Fall!)

-third, MAGIC: THE GATHERING is coming to The GameShelf!  We’ve decided it’s time to start up organized play for this venerable CCG, that pretty much started it all!  We’ll be starting with a competitive League; we’ve got specific support from Wizards of the Coast, including foil promo cards.  You’ll get points just for playing, more if you win, and your points will win you not just the promos, but also cool product!  Watch this space on Wednesday, September 8, for more details!

-finally, on Saturday, September 11, it’s another World Dungeons and Dragons Game Day!  This is to showcase the release of the new “Red Box” starter set.  Start time is 1:00 p.m. and all you need to bring is dice!
